Due to the unexpected disaster of Hurricane Ike the San Jacinto County Fair has been rescheduled. The Board of Directors has worked hard with both school districts in the county to secure the most convenient date for the show. The 2008 fair will now be held October 24th through November 1st.
We will start the week long event with the BBQ Cook-off Friday October 24th and end the week Saturday November 1st with the sale and final rodeo performance along with crowning of the queen. All shows will stay on the same schedule as if it had been in September. The daily schedule has been updated on the calendar. The ranch rodeo, CPRA rodeo and carnival will be held as previously planned.
The unfortunate events have affected our entire county but we as a board have worked hard to ensure the events of the fair will not be affected. We hope the county can once again come together and help everyone to overcome this disaster. We look forward to seeing you at the fair.
