2021 Jr. Exhibitor Rules

  1. San Jacinto County Fair Association Jr. Exhibitors are to be a Kindergartener, First grader, or a second grader at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.

  2. The Jr. Exhibitor must live in San Jacinto County OR have a parent that works for COCISD or SISD.

  3. Be a member of San Jacinto County 4H Clover Kid program.

  4. Must have at least five learning experiences and be academically eligible to be considered an eligible Jr. Exhibitor for the livestock show.

    1. Each learning experience must be documented and verified by your 4H club leader.

    2. An experience is defined as participation in a common gathering to share and gain knowledge of agriculturally based projects. 4-H meetings, clinics, and prospect shows are a great place to get your experiences.

    3. Recordable experiences begin in January 2021 and end September 18, 2021.

  5. A San Jacinto County Jr. Exhibitor may show in all species except for cattle classes.

  6. A San Jacinto County Jr. Exhibitor may also show in educational barn categories. The five experiences apply to this category as well.

Please have the following eligibility form completed and returned to Stacey Ferguson by September 18, 2021 OR give to species chairman at time of project/animal check in. I can be reached at 979-255-3590 or staceyteamroper@gmail.com with any questions.

You must complete the top portion of the form first and then send the form to your child’s school for completion of the bottom section. I will sign the middle section after viewing that your child is academically eligible and has met the five-experience requirement to compete in the 2020 SJC Fair and Rodeo Livestock show.

As always, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Thank you so much for your hard work and cooperation to make our Jr. Exhibitor program successful.
